Hi, my name is Gaby! I have worked within the health & fitness industry for the past 4 years. I myself have lost over 80lbs, competed in powerlifting, and have coached a variety of people ranging from general fitness to competitive bodybuilding.The biggest turning point in my life was when I suffered a career ending injury in 2017. After the injury, I struggled with my mental health, social life, eating habits and gained over 80lbs. It took me 3 years to realize I had enough. I decided to take the step on my own which was extremely difficult and challenging, but with the right support system at my gym and my willingness to learn how to lift I was able to lose all the weight I gained. My two main passions and specialties are powerlifting & weight loss which stems from my own background. Losing weight can be intimidating, but having a coach that understands the struggles makes it so much easier to start.
I strive to add value to all of my client’s lives as well as help them change their lives in a simple and realistic way.

My personal fitness revolves around hybrid athleticism, where lifting and endurance training meet. I have always been very active: lifting, running and playing sports since I was young. My goal is to be an ultramarathoner and maintain a respectable bench, squat, and deadlift.
I started my training journey at the Lafayette Family Y in 2017, where I learned the value of training for function and longevity. I have trained individuals from as young as 9 to the pristine age of 89, all with different goals and motivations. Since I can remember I have been a giant Arnold Schwarzenegger fan. I wanted to look like him and be just like him. I started weight lifting in high school when I played football. I loved watching strongman competitions and realized that is something I wanted to do.
Before becoming a trainer, I worked a lot in the construction and service fields. During these times I got married and had kiddos and watched my weight balloon up to a very unhealthy number. I needed to make a change for myself. I wanted to be able to help with my kid's baseball practices, hike, and enjoy life with them without needing to stop for breaks and be out of breath.
I realized it was more than working out, it was an entire mindset that I needed to adopt. I started putting in the time at the gym and working towards strongman competitions, and started eating better and watched the weight come off and watched myself get stronger.
The gym has done wonders for my mental health as well, it is funny how adopting a healthier mindset changes everything. I was able to bring these ideas and thoughts home to my wife and kids and we started making healthy changes as a family. They love the gym life as much as I do and have adopted a healthy lifestyle too.
I want to help you improve your quality of life and be happier with yourself. I know from firsthand experience the ins and outs of trying to be healthy and strong while balancing the family lifestyle.

I'm Dan. Being in my 40's I have been involved in all kinds of fitness endeavors both as a participant and training others.
I trained in various martial arts including Taekwondo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Muay Thai, even competing at a pretty high level in Kickboxing and MMA through my mid 20's. After that I moved into the fitness/lifting world. I competed in Strongman and Powerlifting. I have reached Elite and International Elite Powerlifting numbers and competed internationally several times in both sports.
Over the past 15+ years I have helped clients lose unwanted bodyfat, build muscle, and compete at all levels.
I use a combination of unconventional training (Kettlebells, Clubs, and Maces) and barbell movements to help people reach their desired goals, whether that's to be an elite level powerlifter or just look better on the beach.
